Marymegan (Meg) Daly was announced as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education in December 20, 2018. She serves as a professor in the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology in the College of Arts and Sciences. Since joining Ohio State's faculty in 2004, she has served in several roles, many focusing on undergraduate education, including work with First Year Experience, the Academy Program, Honors Academic Advising, and orientation and recruiting. Dr. Daly also directs a NSF-funded summer Research Experience for Undergraduates program and serves as faculty advisor for a student club in marine biology.
Since coming to Ohio State, Dr. Daly has served as a senator and chair of the University Senate Steering Committee, chair of the College of Arts and Sciences Curriculum Committee, member of the General Education Review Committee and President and Provost's Leadership Institute, and mentor for LSAMP.
She earned a BA and PhD in biology from The George Washington University.
Her broad perspective of the curricular and co-curricular undergraduate experience at Ohio State, along with her established connections across the university, are strengths that will help Undergraduate Education propose, review and implement educational policies to support the academic mission of the university.
